NYFW has come to a close with a shout for the dress. Dresses were big throughout many lines. For me personally I love dresses. There is nothing like putting on a pretty dress to feel great about yourself. These designers created dresses that will make you feel like a natural woman.
J. Mendel bowled me over with this chiffon navy plum stripped dress. The leg split is fantastic and was a found on the runway in many collections. This abstract a bit of gypsy print in a modern empire style is fantastic. Sexy black strappy sandals keep the look soft but strong.
Marc Jacobs gave a shout out to the Red White & Blue. The Olympics are next Summer so blue/red combo is on the minds of many. I love this dress. The floral embroidered chiffon fabric is simply stunning. It's great when a fab fabric really turns out a beautiful look. The drape and long line gets my vote. A bit of 1930s silhouette. Granny Boots yeah and love how they contrast in a black gold.
Ralph Lauren is a go to American Designer. Her knows how to design for a woman's life and body. He creates a mature look that always embodies a youthful spirit. This dress is casual sexiness. Dark navy shirt type dress with a wide loose caramel colored belt and high cork platform sandal is flawless.
What really caught my eye about these dresses was the soft but casual dressy look. They slightly drape over the body and move with the walk. Summer is a time for easy breezy but that should not mean for go style. These designers know how to create fashion that women can live their lives in without forgoing high fashion. Bravo to them!
Cheers!
