Terrific Tops & Trousers are Magnificient for NYFW AW15

Where do I begin today?  I am overwhelmed with the degree of exquisite fashion that graced the runways in New York for AW15.  Punk Rock Progressive Grunge to Retro Modern High Fashion takes the spotlight in my favs today.  Clockwise:

DelPozo - Divine!!!!!!!  This line stunned and created a much needed dose of magic for AW15.  Fresh pops of colors in bright saturation and classic colors in interesting combos.  This look of high waisted ladies trouser at above ankle length is so exceptional.  The plaid fabric adds to the menswear inspired but the cut is all lady.  Again tops are being tucked into bottoms.  This beautiful gray blue blouse with maroon to blue detail is such a great look.  Ok, let me talk a bit about the shoes at this collection.  The ankle strap round toe satin sleek square heels were so retro but yet futuristic.  The color combos of the shoes matched the looks for an over all put together look.  The hat that peeks out is exciting look for pulled back hair.

Marc by Marc Jacobs - Marc has his roots from the grunge period of the 1990s.  This collection revisited that in a nouveau way.  Punk plaid with black studded picker style boots reminds me of 1970s London Punks.  The 3/4 length coat in a simple over coat cut with a crinkle leather is a fantastic Fall/Winter staple.  Loved the scarf cravat accent over tops.  Beret with studs was perfection.

Michael Kors - I am not always a fan of Michael Kors but this AW changed that.  This dark gray plaid trouser with lower calf length is a must.  The hip length sweater with white blouse collar peeking out is classic but fresh.  This plaid cape with a 3/4 length won me over as it contrasts so beautifully with the plaid trousers.  The fur collar gave a more high fashion appeal.  Let me point out the small handbag.  This is a welcome site for sore eyes.  Small bags are coming back and it is time.  This little gem of bag is retro croc ala 1950s style.   The dark brown oxford picker style flats are rockin and break up the seriousness of this look.

Pedro del Hierro - This look transports me back to the 1970s ala YSL.  Beautiful slim gray trousers at ankle length are so classic and sexy.  The bright blue & silver fleck blouse with fan detail front softens the menswear look.  Love the use of a dark gray on gray play here as the long jacket is slim simple cut.  The slim black belt was a nice accessory to juxtapose the look.  Again the popular wide ankle strap open toed heels that coordinate colors with the look is sensual.

Heads turned for the headwear in my today's picks.  Del Pozo's clever simple design is so FANTASTIC.  This little tie hat that is a scarf style is so perfectly placed in the back of the head and is a must for AW15 as pulled back hair is back.  KTZ stunned me with their Native American inspired collection.  This collection was so detailed and modern that I just had to take a minute to take it all in.  I am part Cherokee and this inspired collection brought tears to my eyes.  I have really never seen anyone get American Indian costume and translate it to ready to wear like this designer.  The ethnic prints on leathers and wools are so Glamorous, it is astounding.  The black leather brimmed cap was a funky style that made it more casual.  Naeem Kahn is another formal wear designer that brought a more high fashion approach to ready to wear. The black and white pants in a rich cut out beaded fabric with white jacket and black pant is quite lovely.  The choice of fur for the hat creates a more runway look but the hat is a beautiful design.

Ooooo lala my eyes are feasting on the fashions.  Forward from here.

Ciao!
