Richness Enriches NYFW for AW15

Well we are almost finished with New York Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2015.  It's been fantastic.  For a few years now it became sloppy but the collections brought it!  A return to a more dressy every day look has returned and I am excited.  I like being a woman and dressing like one is my bag baby.  Today's picks are progressive, bohemian, retro and rich.  Clockwise:

Hugo Boss - They are finally finding their footing in fashion with this collection.  This navy blue and burnt orange dress with a 1940s retro style is simply Marvelous.  The burnt orange  detailing really gives a pop of color that gives interesting sex appeal.  The long elbow length gloves add a nice winter feel to a sleeveless dress.  The flat black boots are surprisingly hip.  I am crazy about this handbag that matches the dress.  It's a great size with a shoulder strap and a structured body.

Proenza Schouler - Not one of my fav designers.  Not been a big fan.  But this collection was really progressive and it worked.  They grew up and got the message of women's wear.  Again I see a bit of 1940s retro meets the future.  The gray ombre shearling double coat is awesome.  The large fishnet hosiery is perfect with black wide strappy tie up sandals.  Again this handbag is a great size.  A bit wider than the Hugo bag but a similar style and size.

Anna Sui - Anna is my favourite NY fashion designer of all time.  Her bohemian styles are her own.  She always turns out rock n roll chic.  This line was bit of 1970s ultra rich bohemian chic meets today's woman.  The beautiful blue stamp looking print wrap skirt with a black knit lace top is sooooo sexy.  Her fur coats are so great because they are always full of personality.  All these pieces come together with the high heel lace up granny looking boots.

Ralph Lauren - The All American NY Designer is Ralph Lauren.  His style is so distinct.  The pinkish gray in this pant look is so sensual.  Suede is new again in a slim cut pant with matching button up vest.  A gray gray turtleneck.  A darker gray wool coat with a fur capelet is stunning.  Brownish suede boots peek out from pant to add for a uber chic uptown look.

They made headway at NYFW for AW15.  Today my picks choose whimsical modish to Russian Verushka style.  Jeremy Scott is a crazy whimsical designers.  His design can be a bit to girlie for me but this look is far out modern mod.  The diamond pattern is right now with multi color blocking for pops of color.  Love the short jacket which I would wear with a sweater skirt.  The aline mini is very cute.  Orange tights add the runway look with the white mod flats.  Ok the hat.  Love that it matches which is a new popular look for headwear. Like I have said designers are learning to make the hat part of the look.  This style is very 1960s on back of head cloche.  Ralph Lauren went for deluxe warm headwear.  Somehow this hat actually works with this Annie Hall look.  Love the wide leg pants.  Faux fur would be better but the Russian style fur hat that Verushka made famous is big for AW15.  Let me mention the wide brim Fedora seen above on the runway of Ralph Lauren; this is such a great hat and every woman should add it to her wardrobe.  Also want to mention the front headband wrap at Proenza Schouler is another easy add to AW15.

OK, now on to London Fashion Week.  Bravo New York!

Cheers!
