Pattern Play Exudes Progressive Retro Style at NYFW AW15

Day 2 brought us into the 21st Century of modernity with a retro flair.  The looks I chose are big on color, pattern, texture and design.  Looks go clockwise as usual.

Cynthia Rowley - I am a huge fan of Cynthia Rowley and have been for some time.  This collection brought out her true style and she got rid of the girlie thank God.  No more girlie ladies.  Enough is enough.  This was Cynthia strongest collection in quite some time.  Each model looked like she was embarking off the spaceship in elegant eclectic design.  This navy blue dress is beyond stunning.  I love the flowing sheer skirt with lace.  This look is bohemian modern edge.  Again a high neck with beautiful textured lace hosiery and open toed heels.

Kate Spade - A collection that had A lot going on.  This look which was turned out from head to toe caught my eye.  The bow scarf tie top is a big style you will see allot of for AW15.  This type of dressy top is much needed in a woman's wardrobe.  Nice tops have been missing for a while but they are back.  The black and white geometric print skirt that is below knee is sassy modern retro.  The black leather sleeveless shell was a sexy surprise.  So the show would not be complete without great Kate Spade Bags and there were.  Small totes in rich hues.  The shoes of oxford tie up were very 1930s.  This jockey hat was spot on.  Kates Jockey Caps were the headgear that stood out the most to me.  Here was a plain black but she also had some with fur pom ball on top.

Ohne Titel - Wow what a collection.  I love color and this line does it right.  It takes a certain design eye to put together strong colors like these.  Trust me and take a look at this whole line.  The look I chose is of course a dress.  Again here we see a cross of color on the front in a faux wrap look.  Love the burnt orange colored belt sash that matches the turtle neck.  The blue black chevron stole be still my heart.  Those criss cross up leg sandals are funky & fantastic.  I got to have this look.

Tanya Taylor - This line was phenomenal.  The designer took a retro 1970s look and made it modern in a very forward streamlined way.  This dress was a wrap with a brilliant pink blue cream check print that was punchy and sexy.  Love the turtle neck and tights matching.  These shoes are beyond yummy.  A plaid platform sandal that coordinates with the dress.  Such a great look!!!!

Oh what a day.  Separates are back and in play!!!!

Cheers!
