Chanel - The bright blue in a light fabric and youthful slim silhouette with floral cap sleeves is a tip toe through the Coco Tulips. Loved the tulle mask as well.
Ralph & Russo - The white retro full skirt below the knee dress in white with pops of flowers cascading from the top to top of hips is dripping with beauty.
Stephane Rolland - Love the dark cafe au lait top and the white organdy skirt dress is something to behold. The way the top color bleeds into the hips is exciting. The stiffened lace embellishment around the the hips is a dreamy way to add personality and edge to a look.
Frank Sorbier - This look is part of collection that be stole my Fae heart. Some deem it Mother Nature. But it reminds me of a MidSummer Nights Dream. Queen Titania. Queen of the Seelie Court. A solstice come to life. The fluid watercolor dress with a loose flowing long skirt and sleeve less bodice with the floral dripping over her like natural growth. Then the headpiece. I love this. It goes to the next level of the popular floral crowns. I love the messy hair with an imperfect designed floral headpiece. Even though the color is light it's not pastel! Do not like pastels. These color emanates light.
Ulyana Sergeenko - This new couturier who has a cult following of customers has such a distinct vision of fashion. I feel she is the designer who ushered in the fairytale fashion movement. Her Russian culture shows through her designs in such a modern structured way. She is a fan of a defined silhouette. This top and skirt of white and black embroidery is sublime. Oh so delicate, exciting scallop edging and bold look.
Tony Ward - This style of bohemian dress was seen on many runways. However, Tony did it in such a way that seems so much more beautiful and womanly. The light blue with dark blue embellishments reminds me of a mermaid come to life. The V-Neck is perfectly done and soft but sexy. The print chiffon flowing over the light blue under skirt is a siren song. The silver platforms were a great way to blend the footwear to the whole look.
Zuhair Murad - The color of this dress is one of my fav colors in creation. A peachy rose that is oh so French. It is a dream to wear: great for light to dark skin. The design of this dress is a fantastic new look. Sleeve less bodice with a chiffon cape that seams into the body to create sleeves. The ever popular floral embellished sparkling top was continued onto the hips which has been a theme in many collections. This is a very Duchess look with sensual treatment of trim.
Versace - Donatella choose to create a collection that is uber modern/futuristic but still screams VERSACE. This dress gives that overt sexiness but in a more demure way. But make not mistake it is a strong look. The black spiral treated fabric has show through to a neutral base. The skirt hugs the hips in flows out in a very 1930s fashion. Love the high neck and halter top.The added wide cinch belt was perfect.
Giambattista Valli - Normally this designer is over the top formal ball gowns. But this showing was fresh and forward. This look marries 1920s with a modern woman. The white voluminous textured fabric in a sleeveless high neck below knee dress is flirty finery. Adding the cinched obi look waist breaks up the texture in a bold creative way. The black & yellow flowers on top of hips daring delicacy. And of course the veil headpiece. This fine tulle dot veiling with black head tie 1940s look is divine. BRAVO! The retro strappy closed toe sandals were fresh footwear.
Valentino - There was so much to look at in the Valentino Collection. The biggest things that stuck out were the neutral colors with dark colored designs throughout. Browns with greens, aquas and pinks. This look is one of my favs look of the week. The cafe aulait brown with yellows and red hand beading look a little Schaparelli and very beautiful. I loved the corset top that was shear over a floor length skirt that fluted out in 1930s style. This look is stunning!!!!! And I adored the small flowers in the hair.
Julien Fournie - This fantastic courtier choose a very strong statement for SS15. I mentioned before it reminds of 1960s Liz Taylor Cleopatra. This particular caftan Gypsy dress in blues and browns is daring. The jeweled treatment on the bodice of reddish browns and Egyptian influence is so exciting. This look along with many of the collections is creating a feminine silhouette that is soft but strong and mysterious.
Georges Hobeika - BEAUTY at it's best. Sexy but not overt. This Ice Blue color is inviting. The lace top with a deep cut out scalloped V-Neck is so sweet and seductive. A beaded slim waist with a small front bow brings in a bit of lightness. The full skirt that cascades to the floor creates a fluidity with the sparkle fabric.
Jean Paul Gaultier - A mature woman glides down the runway of Jean Paul Gaultier with a strong but romantic sexiness. The over large tulle skirt with the black waist length fitted jacket is a new Marie Antoinette. A bit of rocker meets the princess.
Dior - The patent leather black boots with this below knee length dress is GREAT!!!! The pink/red floral print in a cut out waist silhouette is youthful but not girlie. The petticoat is fantastic. The ovals on the front are futuristic trim.
Viktor Rolf- This duo always presents a themed collection. This was by far my fav from them. The cheekiness with the prettiness is funtastic sexiness. They took a girlie look and somehow matured it but did not destroy the feel. The big floral print in a voluminous line creates a movement on it's own. The large flowers swirling around the girl created an airy magical feel. The overly large hat is OUTSTANDING. The straw with the unfinished uneven brim edge creates such a refreshing headgear with a fairytale look that is humorous but somehow fashion. This is Couture!
Well their you have it! The future looks with a sensual eye on fashion. Forward we go.
Cheers & Ciao!
