Floating Fashion From Paris at SS 2015 Haute Couture Week
Today the flowing billowy designs caught my bohemian futuristic eye. Be still my romantic heart. It's like a Futuristic Fairytale has landed in Paris for Spring Summer 2015 Haute Couture. Will this translate into ready to wear. YES!!!!! So many times Couture is only for the less than 1% of luxury set but this week it is for the modern woman. Coco Chanel made luxe that could be translated into ready to wear and that was genius. It is time fashion came back down to earth from outer space of luxury. The designers that caught my today used fabric to exude a sensual envelope around the body but it still provided the all important body revealing feature.
Chanel - The RED is stunning. Karl choose to tap into true Mademoiselle silhouettes but he did it in such a way that is youthful but not young. It is womanly with casual elegance.
Julien Founie - is one of my fav up coming Couturiers. The fabric choice is so beautiful with a very Egyptian motif. Reminds a bit of Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra meets Talitah Getty. This particular dress with the hood is sumptuous Parisienne beauty.
Stephane Rolland - The dress is one of the most beautiful dresses that I have seen in a very long time. The drapery is Marvelous. The brown cafe au lait color in a chiffon with a hint of shiny satin trim is stunning. How is moves with the body creates a glamour that is fresh and new.
Ulyana Sergeenko - She continues to create a Fairytale World of exquisitely cut and decorated garments. I am amazed by this amazing designer. Her defined look wins me over. She dresses women to be sexy.
Now for the Headwear Picks. I am truly excited to see beautiful headwear that works with the outfit.
Chanel - Karl reached back to the Edwardian turn of the century to top off his looks. The toque and big brim boater ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! The two silhouettes with the stylish but wearable hats sent me swooning for them. These types of hats can be translated to the street or horse races. And proper teas!
Atelier Gustavolins - sent down a sleek retro collection with a turn of the century/deco head tie. It was true chic. This russet bordeaux red dress with the matching head tie is superb.
Ulyana Sergeenko - She choose to collab with the great Stephen Jones Millinery out of London. This jacket and pant with a high top tilt fedora is Incredible. Want to wear this whole look.
Ok, so there is my two cents worth of loves. You can see all my favs in my pinboards.
Ciao!
