The Body Suit Struts Into the Future of Couture Week SS 2015

A blizzard is striking our fashion capital but Paris is sizzling with the future of Couture.  The body suit has arrived.  Whether it is loose or fitted this garment is making a statement.  Bright Colors and sexiness have graced the runways in the first full day of Spring Summer 2015 Haute Couture Week in Paris.  My first fav picks are stunning and wearable.  Sometimes Couture deviates to much to the avant garde but the silhouettes on my pin boards are exciting.

Dior made a play at the futuristic movement ala Ungaro 1960s.  However, the looks were very much of the now.  Schiaparelli was very true to her cheeky style.  The looks were womanly with a since of humor.  Versace is back.  This is best collection from the House of Versace in many years.  The clean lines and colors with a futuristic sexy edge was spot on.  And lastly but not at all the least is Yiqing Yin which is one of my fav designers of the 21st Century.  Her designs are a true Parisian style ala Grès draping.  Yiqing Yin's vision is a sculptured sensual ease that is pure fashion.

Bravo for Couture!  It is very much relevant.

Now for a bright spot in all the garments was the headwear and formal wear at Giambattista Valli.
This was an extremely beautiful collection.  The laces were exquisite.  The light floral details throughout were de-vine!  I love the high collars.  From fitted knee length tulle to a 1920s/1950s white tulle this line was thrilling.  And let me talk about the the veil headband.  WOW!!!!  A perfect use of a veil hair accessory.  This headpiece is a must for couture to ready to wear.  BRAVOOOOO!

Well that's the first run down for SS15 Haute Couture Week.  Be Fancy and Fantastic!  Be stylish!  Be BEAUTIFUL!

Ciao!
