Femininity is key for Spring Summer 2016. But it is not girlie but a attractive strong look that is flirty and fine. Today my faves go from lady lovely to relaxed beauty.
Carolina Herrera sent out an elegant pretty collection. Really great cuts and colors. Pastels but not faded out. This mauvey color which is my fave in case you did not know (mauvelyroses.com) box pleated skirt is graceful with a white sportie chic top.
Jeremy Scott - Beehave with Beehives at Jeremy Scott. Definitely a 60s vibe. This hot little flirty bardotish look is got a hot color for SS16 orange. Cut polka dot dress with a mauvey pink cardigan and an aqua slim belt. Loving the large fishnets showing up on runways. Cute little orange retro heels. The models hair is fantastic! The fun makeup and nails just set off the look. Finally designers are starting to understand that a look has to include beauty too.
Karen Walker - I love Karen Walker. She knows women. She knows how to design fashion that is sexy, classy, with an excitement in the mix. This peachy brown skirt and white slim fitting sweater top is superb. Want this! The orange floral scarf tie loosely around the neck sets the look off perfectly. The little dark orange purse is awesome! White slim Mary Janes end it in top form. Then the sunglasses that mix up the colors in a new shape really turn out something exciting in accessorized styling. The white clasp belt brings it together.
Maiyet - This line has such nice fabrics. This lovely cream sweater dress with a bit of sheerness is loveliness. I am not big on scarves but this pashmina looking fringe shawl is really nice with this look.
Maria Cornejo - has a style all her own and sticks to it. She always chooses volume. The white off the shoulder sweater that is slim fit and over hips is a very key look going forward. The loose white skirt that hits at the ankle is quite amazing in a nonchalant way.
So there you have it for today. Mix it up and add pieces. Don't be afraid to mix lady lovely with modern chic nonchalance. And for goodness sake learn to flirt!
